Leadership Team Openings
As part of Nucleate SG’s leadership team, you will get the chance to learn about biotech and entrepreneurship at a local and global level. You will be supported as you step out of your comfort zone, acquire new transferable skills and meet incredible people while bringing to life programmes that have real impact.
Nucleate SG is recruiting for our August 2024 - August 2025 cycle! Applications will be considered on a rolling basis and will close as positions are filled.
Director, Programmes and Education
Description:
The Programmes and Education team leads the end-to-end organisation of various in-person events of Nucleate SG, namely, the Nucleate Ignite Workshop Series, the triannual themed Networking Panels as well as selected ad hoc events with Nucleate SG partners.
Role Scope:
Work closely with other members of the P&E team to plan and execute events, including speaker outreach (or following up warm introductions), content curation and relationship management with selected speakers
Liaise with external sponsors and venue partners (in tandem with the Co-MDs), including pitching and managing the expectations of all parties involved in event execution
Work with the Communications team to generate event publicity materials
Manage the show flow of day-of events with the support of the rest of the Nucleate SG leadership team
Director, Podcast
Description:
The Podcast team leads the end-to-end production of the Nucleate Singapore Pulse episodes featuring veterans and up-and-coming figures of the Singapore Biotech ecosystem.
Role Scope:
Work closely with the Co-MDs to map out thematic overviews and potential guests of the podcast initiative
Reach out (or follow up warm introductions) to podcast guests, curate interview flow and manage relationships with featured guests
Edit podcast audio (software-enabled for ease), obtain clearance with the guests' compliance departments and publish episodes on Apple Podcasts and Spotify
Work with the Communications team to ensure accuracy of pre- and post-episode publicity materials
Director, Newsletter
Description:
The Newsletter team leads the end-to-end generation of local ecosystem content published in The Nucleate Artery. This involves monitoring for novel, new technologies coming out of universities with commercial potential and conveying it to the public in an accessible manner.
Role Scope:
Work closely with the Co-MDs to map out thematic overviews and sections of the newsletter
Monitor the local research space to identify early-stage promising, commercialisable technology from the foodtech and therapetics space
Maintain relationships with the various technology transfer offices of the local universities to build tech sourcing and publicity partnerships
Work with the Communications team to ensure accuracy of pre- and post-publication publicity materials
Director, Communications and Outreach
Description:
The Communications team develops and oversees the marketing strategy and content production of all Nucleate SG's communications platforms: Website, LinkedIn, Substack announcements, Instagram and Community Slack.
Role Scope:
Generate marketing materials in collaboration with other Nucleate SG teams
Maintain relationships with communications departments across the Singapore ecosystem, including university career offices and listserv directors
Ensure that all marketing materials are in line with Nucleate HQ's guidelines prior to publication for branding consistency
Develop Nucleate SG’s overall marketing strategy to maximise reach to our target populations

We are looking for people who truly believe in our mission and are able to abide by our core values. We highly value resourcefulness, initiative, and a willingness to learn. Prior leadership or organisational experience is merely a bonus.

Our team commits about 5-7 hours a week, but this will vary depending on programme season. We expect a commitment of 1 year (Aug to Aug) for your leadership term.

After you apply, we will review your application and inform you of our initial decision within 10 days. If we believe you may be a good fit for us, we will invite you for an informal chat either virtually or in-person. Once you join us, there will be a trial period of 3 months to assess whether you truly are a good fit for the team.
