Nucleate Ignite was created to bridge the talent gap in Singapore’s biotech ecosystem. It comprises 3 distinct tracks of workshops to equip individuals with the skills needed to kickstart a career in the biotechnology industry.
Venture Capital Track
Designed for individuals curious about a career in life science venture capital (VC) and potential founders, this course introduces key concepts you need to know, such as how investment theses are crafted, deal sourcing methods, the due diligence process (scientific, regulatory, financial, management, etc.), valuation techniques, and how success is measured. 
Biotherapeutic Development Track
Desiring a change from academia but still want to perform hands-on science? This biotherapeutic development track introduces the processes involved in creating a therapeutic program in biotech and pharma companies, and how it differs from academic science. Key concepts covered: product development processes, company operations, IP strategies, stages of fundraising, regulatory frameworks.
Business Development Track (Coming in 2024)
Coming 2024, the Business Development (BD) course introduces key skills needed to understand the process involved in developing a biotech business through new project ventures and mutually beneficial collaborations. Key concepts: the FDA regulatory process, deal Types and structuring (eg. in/out Licensing mechanisms, M&A), competitive landscape analysis, negotiation of financial terms, valuation types.
